I was nominated for the Original Outstanding Blogger Award! Thank you Beauty Voyager for the nomination. Go check out her blog for articles about travel, self-improvement, and social media tips. I particularly found this post about Pinterest particularly helpful as it gave me renewed motivation to not give up my Pinterest strategy.
The Original Outstanding Blogger Award
This award was originally created by Colton Beckwith and this is the original post. As stated in the original post, this award was created in 2020 and every blog which was entered to win will receive an entry into The Outstanding Blogger Award contest. I was actually nominated for this award a few months ago, but was nominated again recently, so decided to do this again in the spirit of fun. Also, I really do like to ask and answer questions.
1. What is your definition of success?
I believe that to obtain the very pinnacle of success, one must be happy. If you are truly happy with who you are and where you are in life, then you can consider yourself to be a successful person.
2. What is your favorite movie?
My favorite movie is The Parent Trap, the one starring Lindsay Lohan. Every time I watch it, I never fail to tear up at the romantic resolution, or laugh at the many camp shenanigans, I first watched the movie when it came out in 1999. I was 10 and I remember wanting desperately to find my long lost identical twin at camp.
3. How would you describe the year 2020 in 3 words?
Gave me purpose, by means of this blog. Suddenly, I had more time to write and devote myself to this blog. Let’s just hope I can keep it up.
4. New Year’s Resolutions?
I don’t make New Year’s Resolutions. See this blog post for my explanation why.
5. What is your biggest fear?
I have had many fears throughout my life and have been able to overcome many of them. I still get glimmers of those fears but I try not to let it stop me from living my life. At the moment, however, my biggest fear is giving up on my blog. I have started and then given up on many blogs in the past. Once again, I am starting to get that old feeling of wanting to scrap this blog. And it is terrifying me, because I really want to continue blogging.
6. Who is your idol and why?
My idol is and will always be Anne Frank. She is one of the few people I look up to for her writing, character, and ability to have hope during even the most impossible of circumstances.
7. Top 3 favorite places to be?
I am a homebody so I would have to say that my favorite place to be is at home. There is no greater feeling than curling up on a sofa or bed and reading a book while wrapped up in a warm thick blanket, while surrounded by your favorite things and people.
Another favorite place would have to be the library. I just love to go and browse through the selection of books, looking for my next read. I’m quite picky when it comes to books, so I like to browse and see which one catches my eye.
And finally, I have to add Berlin to my list. I studied there in college and it is my favorite city for its charm, beauty, culture, and food.
